Bomaz Monument-P-ET (“Monument P”) is cementing his reputation as a global genetic powerhouse in the Holstein Friesian world. As he reaches 4,066 milking daughters worldwide, this bull’s influence spans the globe, and New Zealand herds are reaping the benefits.
Born in 2018 and marketed by Samen NZ Ltd, Monument P offers an uncommon combination of elite traits – he is A2A2 for beta-casein, naturally polled and delivers outstanding production and conformation in one complete package.
Bred in Wisconsin, USA, Monument P exhibits the strong dairy frame and capacity of his lineage, while carrying the hornless polled gene and the desirable A2 milk protein variant.
His moderate liveweight Breeding Value (BV) of +29.3kg with 84% reliability means his daughters are not oversized: they are robust, high-performing cows that fit well into pasture-based systems.
Farmers appreciate that Monument P breaks the mould by improving components and yield without creating giant cows – an ideal moderate-sized bull for New Zealand conditions.
He ranks first on New Zealand’s latest Holstein Friesian Ranking of Active Sires (RAS) proof (19/09/2025), and boasts a Breeding Worth (BW) of 428 (with 92% reliability), placing him among the elite sires based on the national index. Backed by 404 New Zealand daughters across 51 herds, his proof is highly reliable with real-world performance.
Production-wise, Monument P is a game-changer: he transmits outstanding components with a Fat BV of +70.1 kg and Protein BV of +37.3 kg. Even more impressive are his component percentages: Fat % BV 5.0 and Protein% BV 3.6, indicating that his daughters produce richer milk than their herd mates. He also has a Milk BV of +1,219 litres, meaning farmers get both high milk volume and high milk solids. In the shed, Monument P daughters are proving to be efficient, profitable milk producers with enviable fat and protein production.
Conformation is another area where Monument P excels, thanks to extensive daughter evaluations under New Zealand conditions. With 57 of his New Zealand daughters TOP-inspected to date, he has delivered consistently strong type traits.
